Finally Updated pictures

Here are some new cake pictures to look at.
This was for a baby shower, I drew the characters on to gumpaste with food coloring markers and then blended and painted with clear vanilla extract. The characters were then cut out and applied to the cake, there were also hanging bees around the cake.
This was a graduation cake, non-traditional, but fun to make.

Another graduation cake for someone in ROTC going to active duty as a nurse in the ARMY,

R2-D2 Cake!!! Star Wars Party.

This is the pre-assembly stage of the R2-D2 cake for Landon and Quinton's Birthday party. I found pictures of a cake like this on the blog bsideblog.com by Mark Randazzo. I thought I would give it a try for the boys. It didn't look perfect but it turned out better than I thought it would.

It took my sister and I almost 2 whole days to get this cake done. These are the legs, built out of rice krispy treats and fondant.
Before assembly, adding the details to make r2-d2 come alive.
Here is the completed R2-D2 cake. Thank you, thank you, thank you to my Mom for helping with the kids, and my sister for helping me with the cake itself. I would have gone crazy without your help!

A friend of mine from MOPS (Mothers Of Preschoolers) asked me to make these cakes for her son Owen's 2nd Birthday. They are chocolate and white cake with butter cream frosting. If you didn't already guess, it was a sports themed party.

Dora and Race Cars

My Mother-In-Law teaches 4th grade. Matt and I visited her class and they asked me if I would make them a cake. "Race to the Finish" (of the school year of course!). Each car represents a student in her class, I know it is busy but I could not leave out a classmate:-) Chocolate cake with Swiss Meringue Butter Cream frosting, the cars are made out of fondant.
Ava loves Dora, she turned 3 years old and had an awesome party!!! She had pony rides and a petting zoo! The cake is 1/2 Lemon and 1/2 Strawberry with butter cream icing, the characters are made out of royal icing. The kids enjoyed eating the pieces of the characters while Ava's Dad cut the rest of the cake!

This is a close up of one of the race cars on the first cake. They were fun, and actually easy to make. My son even made one for himself.
Thank you to all of you who keep up with the photos and share my information with your friends!!!
